Abstract

President Donald Trump's administration has released over 10,000 pages of files related to the 1968 assassination of former Senator Robert F. Kennedy, as part of an executive order to declassify documents on high-profile American killings. The files, with minimal redactions for privacy, are available at archives.gov/rfk, with an additional 50,000 pages being prepared for release. Trump's administration has also released files on the deaths of former President John F. Kennedy and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., fulfilling promises made during his presidency. Kennedy's son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has publicly called for the release of Sirhan Sirhan, the man convicted of his father's killing, a stance that differs from some of his siblings.
