Abstract

MetLife Inc.'s Chief Financial Officer, John McCallion, predicts a positive outlook for commercial real estate in 2025 due to improving returns from related funds and supportive economic conditions. Despite lower-than-anticipated returns from private equity investments, real estate and other funds saw improvements in the third quarter. MetLife sold five properties in the third quarter, generating gains of $120 million to $150 million. The company's CEO, Michel Khalaf, also expressed optimism for a more positive environment in 2025.
