This article provides a curated overview of recent books focused on Montana’s history, culture, and landscape. It highlights works by historians and authors such as Ken Robison, who explores Fort Benton’s history including Indigenous and Chinese contributions; Ednor Therriault’s engaging travel and natural history of Montana’s national parks; and Alix Christie’s historical novel depicting cultural shifts during westward expansion. The roundup also features Marga Lincoln’s profiles of Montanans who championed justice, Milana Marsenich’s study of Idaho madams and women’s independence in the Old West, and Herman J.
