Abstract

This Note examines relations between the United States and the People's Republic of China, with particular attention on economic and geopolitical tensions between the two nations since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001, and it analyzes the effects of those issues on the United States. Finally, this Note argues how the United States can protect against these trade practices by leading with government procurement and engaging other policy options, reinvigorating the United States' industrial base.
