Abstract
Dele Sosimi, a musician and composer, had a turbulent upbringing, with his father being assassinated when he was 12. He grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, and became friends with Femi Kuti, the son of Fela Kuti, a famous musician and activist. Dele eventually joined Fela's band, Egypt 80, and became responsible for keeping the band together. After Fela's imprisonment, Dele and Femi left to form their own band, Positive Force. Dele has since had a successful career as a musician and teacher, and he still holds respect for Fela's teachings. [Extracted from the article]
