Abstract

Kingsley Ben-Adir, a British actor, has recently portrayed various famous figures in films and TV shows, including Barack Obama, Malcolm X, and Ken from Barbie. He continues this streak by playing Bob Marley in the new biopic "Bob Marley: One Love." Ben-Adir faced challenges in learning to sing and play the guitar for the role, but found it enjoyable. He balanced preparing for the role while filming Barbie by practicing Jamaican patois and chords during downtime on set. Ben-Adir's song from Barbie, "I'm Just Ken," is nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars, and he is open to performing at the show if invited. On his days off, he enjoys swimming and having breakfast with friends. Although he learned to play the guitar for the role, he currently keeps it on display in his kitchen, waiting for the right time to play it again. [Extracted from the article]
