The article focuses on Barbara Haselbach's nomination as Honorary Patron of Carl Orff Canada (COC) in recognition of her pioneering role in introducing and promoting Orff Schulwerk in Canada and internationally. Haselbach, a dancer, educator, and author, was among the first teachers invited by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman to the inaugural 1962 Toronto Orff Conference and has since contributed extensively as a professor, choreographer, and leader, including serving as President of the International Orff Schulwerk Forum Salzburg (IOSFS) for 20 years. Her work spans over 60 years, involving teaching, lecturing in more than 40 countries, authoring publications on dance education, and supporting the growth of Orff Schulwerk worldwide.
