Abstract
An interview with Marie Moran, author of the book "Identity and Capitalism," is presented. Moran talks about how identity is a relatively novel concept, the influence of Welsh Marxist writer, critic and cultural theorist Raymond Williams on her approach, and what was revealed by treating identity as a keyword, by treating it a politically charged word of the moment, rather than just a universal concept that simply existed for centuries.
