Abstract
Lebanon and Hezbollah have agreed to a US cease-fire plan with Israel, as reported by Reuters. The agreement, under a United Nations resolution, would prohibit Hezbollah forces between the border with Israel and the Litani River. Negotiations are ongoing, with President Joe Biden's senior Middle East adviser en route to Beirut. Israel's military campaign in southern Lebanon aimed to weaken Hezbollah, resulting in airstrikes that killed senior members, including leader Hassan Nasrallah. [Extracted from the article]
