Abstract

The article narrates the Battle of Marengo that took place on June 14, 1800, during the Napoleonic era. It describes how Napoleon Bonaparte found himself in a challenging situation with dispersed forces, facing an evenly matched Austrian army with superior artillery, and how his strategic decisions, as well as the arrival of General Desaix, ultimately determined the outcome of the battle.
