Abstract
The article provides a history of the establishment of the colonies of Low German Mennonites in Colombia and Peru. Information is presented about the settlement of Mennonites primarily from northern Mexico in the Eastern lowlands of Colombia as they were looking for a region with enough rainfall to cover their farming needs, and the migration of Belizean, Bolivian and Mexican Mennonite farmers to the Peruvian Amazon, the land of the Incas, where they settled and established farmsteads.
