Abstract

The article focuses on the increasing representation of queer characters in DC Comics' superhero stories. It highlighting the inclusion of gay, bisexual and transgender characters such as Jon Kent (Superman), Jackson Hyde (Aquaman) and Tim Drake (Robin). It also discusses the reactions and criticisms from conservative voices, as well as the transformative nature of these new narratives within the superhero genre.
