Abstract
The article focuses on the contributions of Leo Parker to the bebop jazz genre, particularly as a baritone saxophonist. Parker, who initially played alto saxophone, transitioned to baritone after World War II and became known for his unique sound and improvisational skills. His last album, "Rollin’ With Leo," recorded in 1961 but released in 1980, showcases his talent and includes several original compositions. The article highlights Parker's influence within the bebop movement and his struggles with addiction, ultimately leading to his untimely death in 1962.
