Abstract
Leveraging Bourdieu's capital theory, this study investigates how Korean middle‐class mothers employ educational strategies to ensure their children's enrollment in prestigious universities, aiming for class reproduction. It delineates their involvement across various domains, including home, school, shadow education, and mothers' networks. The findings contribute to understanding the role of middle‐class parental involvement in class positioning in Korea, while also offering a reconceptualization of Asian parenting styles against the stereotype of "tiger parenting" from a postcolonial perspective.
