Abstract
The article focuses on a study that adapted the Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction and Frustration Scale (BPNSFS) to the Turkish language and cultural context. Conducted in Izmir, Turkiye, the research involved 1,033 Turkish high school students and demonstrated the scale's reliability and psychometric features similar to the original version. The findings indicated that satisfaction of the three psychological needs positively predicted life satisfaction and negatively predicted depressive feelings, while the opposite was true for need frustration. Financial support for the study was provided by the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK). [Extracted from the article]
