Abstract

This paper focuses on the severe impact of ongoing Israeli aggression and the blockade on food security in the Gaza Strip, highlighting extensive agricultural damage, infrastructure destruction, and escalating humanitarian crises. It documents how prolonged military operations, economic restrictions, and environmental degradation have critically undermined Gaza's agricultural capacity and food access, leading to widespread hunger, malnutrition, and a looming famine affecting over 96% of the population as of 2024. The study emphasizes the compounded effects of restricted humanitarian aid, soaring food prices, and damaged water and sanitation systems, which together exacerbate food insecurity and health risks. It calls for urgent international intervention to halt hostilities, ensure humanitarian access, and support the reconstruction of Gaza's food systems to prevent further deterioration of the population's well-being.
