Abstract
Senegal is considering postponing its presidential election scheduled for this month in order to conduct a probe into the validation process of the candidates. The Constitutional Council, which determined the final list of candidates, has faced doubts about the independence of two judges. Ousmane Sonko and Karim Wade, both prominent figures, were excluded from the list. The ruling party's candidate, Prime Minister Amadou Ba, is consulting with President Macky Sall on the matter.
