Eikoh Hosoe: Mythic Worlds.

Abstract

A biography of Japanese photographer and filmmaker Eikoh Hosoe is presented. He was in 1933 in a Shinto shrine. He came to photography at a young age. Hosoe won the inaugural Fuji Photo Contest and first gained widespread attention in the photography world in 1951. His approach to physicality, sexuality, and a wide array of emotions in photography is explored.
