Abstract

This essay is a meditation on the relationship between thought, happiness and fatelessness in Sam Weber, Walter Benjamin, Gershom Scholem, and Jacques Lacan. The starting point is a discussion about a line in the poem "Greetings from the Angel" by Gershom Scholem, which introduces the famous IXth thesis of Benjamin's "On the Concept of History."
