Abstract
The article discusses the Eta Aquariid meteor shower, which is caused by debris from Halley's Comet. The shower is predicted to peak on May 5th at 5 p.m. EDT, but the mornings of May 5th and 6th are both good for meteor watching. The best view of the shower can be seen from tropical and southern latitudes, where up to 50 meteors per hour may be visible. From mid-northern latitudes, the rate is reduced to around 15 to 20 meteors per hour. The article also provides tips for photographing the meteor shower. [Extracted from the article]
