Abstract
The article discusses the post-World War II rebuilding of Germany, highlighting the Marshall Plan as a key factor in the country's economic recovery. Initially, the Morgenthau Plan proposed harsh measures to prevent Germany from waging war again, but it was deemed unsustainable. The Marshall Plan, spearheaded by US Secretary of State George C Marshall, provided significant economic aid to West Germany and other European countries, leading to the German economic miracle. The West German government's effective use of Marshall Plan funds, along with internal economic reforms, contributed to the country's rapid industrial growth and improved standard of living.
