Abstract
The article discusses the potential benefits of using smartphone recordings during dermatology consultations to help patients better recall and understand medical information, particularly in cases of complex diagnoses or treatment plans. Studies have shown that patients who received audio recordings of their consultations had improved recall and satisfaction levels compared to those who did not. While there are concerns about the ethical and legal implications of recording consultations, the authors believe that smartphone recordings can serve as a helpful tool for patients and complement clinical care.
