Abstract
The article discusses the life and reign of Emperor Septimius Severus, who ruled the Roman Empire from 193 to 211 CE. Born in Leptis Magna in North Africa, Severus was known as the 'African Emperor' due to his origins. He expanded the empire, conquered Parthia and parts of Africa, and left a lasting impact on Rome through architectural projects.
