Abstract
The article focuses on developing and operationalizing a competency-based training curriculum for Latinx/a/o-Hispanic (L/H) cultural neuropsychology across the lifespan, addressing a critical gap in postdoctoral neuropsychology education. It outlines knowledge- and applied-based core competencies necessary for culturally informed neuropsychological assessment, emphasizing language development, bilingualism, acculturation, normative data, and appropriate use of interpreters. The curriculum integrates clinical, didactic, research, and professional development components grounded in the SALUD Strutt MacDonald Equitable Healthcare Model, aiming to cultivate socially responsible neuropsychologists who provide equitable care to L/H populations. The article also presents a detailed report template and didactic resources to guide culturally responsive practice and encourages widespread implementation to reduce health disparities and minority tax in neuropsychology training programs.
