Abstract
The article highlights significant archaeological discoveries across various regions, revealing insights into ancient societies and their practices. In Virginia, researchers identified a Rappahannock settlement near Fones Cliffs, uncovering 11,000 artifacts. Texas archaeologists found colonial artifacts at the Nuestra Señora del Espíritu Santo Mission, originally established by French explorer René-Robert Cavelier, li Sieur de La Salle. In Ireland, evidence suggests that urban traditions may predate the Vikings, while in Guatemala, a unique fifth-century gaming board was discovered. Other notable findings include the earliest known cremation in Africa in Malawi, a Bronze Age city in Kazakhstan, and the origins of hanging coffins in China, linked to the Bo people.
