Abstract
The article explores the history of public education funding challenges in Pennsylvania and the 2023 Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court case William Penn School District v. Pennsylvania Department of Education. It discussed the 1874 amendment of the Education Clause of the Pennsylvania Constitution, the way the case addressed the adequacy of the funding system of the state, and the acknowledgment of the testimony of school administrators and educators regarding the resources needed by students.
