Abstract

The article focuses on the discrepancy between official Soviet ideology regarding state property ownership and the actual practices revealed in studies of the Soviet economy. Topics include the hierarchy of state property ownership during Stalinism, with the dictator at the top, followed by managers and officials, shedding light on power dynamics and economic decision-making in the late Soviet and post-Soviet periods.
