Abstract
The article focuses on a call for international cooperation to support the Karen National Union (KNU) in its efforts to dismantle transnational scam centers in the Myawaddy area of Myanmar. Thirty Karen community organizations have urged the Thai government and the international community to assist the KNU, which has uncovered extensive criminal networks involving torture and confinement of victims. The article highlights the ongoing violence from the Burmese military, which is seen as a primary contributor to these crimes, and emphasizes the need for immediate action to protect victims and secure evidence. The KNU seeks collaboration with international authorities to ensure the safety and repatriation of victims and to dismantle the criminal operations affecting multiple countries.
