Abstract

Researchers have finally discovered the remains of the famous 1987 supernova using NASA's JWST telescope. The explosion of Sanduleak −69 202 created the first supernova visible to the naked eye in 4 centuries and has been intensely studied. The researchers believe that a neutron star, the only thing left of the shattered star, is responsible for the glowing gas at the center of the blast. This discovery is significant as it provides valuable information about such an extreme and young object. [Extracted from the article]
