Abstract
The article explores the growth of labor union power in the state of Texas. The growth is attributed to the organizing efforts of rank-and-file workers at a rate not seen in decades. In January 2024, a resolution submitted by rank-and-file delegates from affiliated unions calling for a ceasefire in Gaza was passed during the Texas American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations Committee on Political Education Convention.
