Abstract
The article focuses on the impact of Super Typhoon Ragasa as it moves away from Hong Kong and heads toward China's southern coast. With sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour, Ragasa has caused significant disruption, including the cancellation of over 5,000 flights and the suspension of school classes and train services in southern Chinese cities. The storm, which has been compared to the destructive Typhoon Mangkhut from 2018, has resulted in at least 14 fatalities in Taiwan and six in the Philippines. Hong Kong's weather bureau issued its highest storm warning, signal No. 10, for the first time in six decades, highlighting the city's vulnerability to extreme weather events.
