Abstract

The article offers information on some of the most significant rulers of the Kingdom of Kush, such as Amanirenas, Piye and Aspelta. Topics include the reign of Amanirenas defending Nubia against Roman occupation; Piye's consolidation of Kushite rule in Egypt; Aspelta's wealth and artifacts; the unique co-rulership of Natakamani and his mother Amanitore; and Amanishakheto's wealth and contributions to architecture and pyramid building.
