Abstract
The article presents a study on marble samples from sculpture fragments found at Beth Shean, Israel, aimed at identifying their origin and potential dating. Samples from a hand and a head were analyzed using various techniques, including optical microscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, and stable isotope analysis. Comparison with known ancient marble quarries suggests distinct origins for the two samples, indicating they likely belong to different statues.
