Abstract
The article reviews recent arrangements and compositions for trombone and brass ensembles, focusing on works such as Herbert Russell McKinney’s "Southwell (CM)" for eight-part trombone choir, Damiano Drei’s transcription of Giovanni Gabrieli’s polychoral piece "Canzon per Sonar Noni Toni & 8" for eight-part brass ensemble, and Drei’s brass quintet arrangement of Richard Wagner’s "Overture from Tannhäuser" with optional organ. It also discusses Micha Davis’s brass quintet medley of traditional Hanukkah songs, highlighting its historical context and musical features.
