Abstract

The genus group name Hypohylis Reitter, 1902 is shown to refer to a valid biological taxon, not a subjective junior synonym of the genus Hylis des Gozis, 1886. Hypohylis belongs to the tribe Xylobiini Reitter, 1911, not to the tribe Epiphanini Muona, 1993 as previously believed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
