Abstract
Commentary in I Al Wihda i criticised a recent reshuffle of senior officers in the Chadian military for underscoring how the armed forces prioritise tribalism and favouritism. Army spokesman General Azem Bermandoa Agouna told I AFP i on June 7th that 23 rebels had been killed and eight soldiers wounded since May 31st, when the army attacked an insurgent column in the Kouri Bougoudi area.
