Abstract

An introduction is presented in which the author discusses articles within the issue on topics including the history of how impresario Lincoln Kirstein brought choreographer George Balanchine to the U.S. to build the New York City Ballet, story of writer-producer Arthur Laurents, and the move of Impressionist painter Léonor Fini from Argentina to Paris, France.
