Abstract

The article discusses the challenges faced by Black female pilots in the U.S., with reference to the story of Carole Hopson who is committed to her role as a trailblazer for United Airlines. Topics include built a successful career as a journalist and then an executive, working for the National Football League; and industry underrepresented to volunteer with nonprofit organizations that are in a position to help in the aviation industry.
