Abstract
Bruce D. Rosenlund, a champion for native trout recovery, passed away in 2023 after battling cancer. He was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and developed a passion for fish through fishing trips with his father and grandfather. Rosenlund worked as a biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and made significant contributions to the recovery of native trout species, particularly the Greenback Cutthroat Trout in Colorado. He received numerous awards and recognition for his work and mentored a new generation of biologists. Rosenlund's legacy in aquatic conservation is evident through his publications and the impact he had on preserving native species. [Extracted from the article]
