Abstract
The article focuses on the book "Mountaineering Women: Climbing through History" by Joanna Croston, which highlights the achievements of female mountaineers throughout history. It features notable climbers such as Ines Papert, who summited Kyzyl Asker in 2016, and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Le Blond, who made significant ascents in the late 19th century and helped establish the Ladies' Alpine Club. The book also includes Lydia Bradey, the first woman to summit Mount Everest without supplementary oxygen in 1988. "Mountaineering Women" is set to be released in the UK on August 7 and internationally on September 16. [Extracted from the article]
