Abstract
Malaysia Airlines reported a second consecutive year of profit in 2024, despite facing maintenance and technical issues that led to a reduction in flights in the second half of the year. The parent company, Malaysian Aviation Group, reported a net profit of 54 million ringgit, representing a 93% decline from the previous year. The airline aims to continue its profitability trajectory by expanding its fleet and route network, with plans to grow its fleet to 120 aircraft by 2035 and increase the number of routes flown to 102.
