Abstract

The article discusses the topics of traditional ecological knowledge and the relational method for the environmental humanities in Aotearoa New Zealand. Also cited are how Captain James Cook served as agent of industrialised agriculture during his expeditions to countries like New Zealand, and Cook's consideration of land as an object of scientific study and aesthetic contemplation.
