Abstract
The article focuses on Tim Leiweke, a former sports and entertainment executive, who invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during a deposition related to a civil antitrust case involving Live Nation Entertainment Inc. and its Ticketmaster business. Leiweke recently received a presidential pardon for a separate bid-rigging case concerning the Moody Center arena project at the University of Texas in Austin, where his company, Oak View Group LLC, was implicated in illegal coordination with rival Legends. Although neither Leiweke nor Oak View is a defendant in the antitrust case, the government alleges that they conspired not to compete in concert promotion. A trial for the antitrust case is scheduled to begin in early March in New York. [Extracted from the article]
