Abstract
This article focuses on Textil Zacoalpan, an Amuzgo Indigenous textile collective in Guerrero, Mexico, that conserves traditional knowledge of native cotton cultivation and weaving as a form of resistance against dominant monocultural ideologies rooted in coloniality. By maintaining ancestral practices both offline—in their home workshop and milpa agricultural system—and online through their Instagram account, the collective sustains interconnected ecologies of knowledge, productivity, and communication that challenge Western scientific, capitalist, and mass media paradigms. Their work integrates textile production with caregiving and community life, emphasizing relational time and ecological balance rather than capitalist efficiency. Textil Zacoalpan's digital presence serves as an act of communicative justice, enabling self-representation and visibility of Indigenous worldviews often marginalized in mainstream media.
