Abstract

This article focuses on a recent study examining psychological research on people's responses to nuclear weapons since the end of the Cold War. Conducted with financial support from Leuphana Universität Lüneburg and involving the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien in Tübingen, Germany, the study systematically reviewed 256 relevant articles out of over 18,000 identified, analyzing publication patterns, research communities, themes, and empirical rigor. The findings indicate a renewed but still fragmented interest in this area, with limited evidence of a cohesive and coordinated scholarly field. The research highlights the importance of psychologists documenting public responses amid increasing nuclear weapon threats. [Extracted from the article]
