Abstract

Several poems by Chantal James are presented. "MAROONAGE TANKA." First Line: heroes ran to hills; Last Line: maroonage in brooks' babble. "EULOGY FOR ELI WHITNEY." First Line: sing a humbled field of briar; Last Line: we the needy await you. "MAKESHIFT GODS." First Line: my mothers were plucked unwillingly as they bloomed, the even me and the odd of you.
