Abstract
Zoya Cherkassky-Nnadi, a popular Israeli painter, has faced criticism and accusations of promoting Israeli propaganda for her artwork. She focuses on marginalized groups in Israeli society, such as African immigrants and sex workers, and has also addressed Israeli treatment of Palestinians. The Jewish Museum in New York faced protests for not including Palestinian victims in Zoya's exhibition, and she has expressed a willingness to create art about Palestinian victims in the future. The article also discusses the cultural boycott of Israel and the challenges faced by Israeli artists and academics in participating in international venues due to fear of protest.
