Ends and Elisions in Wordsworth's Counting Songs.

Abstract

In the article, the author analyzes the counting songs in the poems of William Wordsworth, particularly "Lyrical Ballads." Among Wordsworth's counting poems are "The Last of the Flock," "The Idiot Boy" and "Lucy Gray." Also cited are the cadence and the relationship between slide and count in Wordsworth's poems.
