Abstract
The article focuses on Catherine van Kampen's advocacy for accountability regarding the genocide of the Yazidi community by the Islamic State Group. After witnessing the 2014 attacks, van Kampen became deeply involved in supporting Yazidis, conducting research on their exploitation, and serving as a pro bono legal adviser to the Yazidi Legal Network. She co-founded the Female Advocacy Foundation International to aid women and girls in conflict zones and has actively participated in international discussions on women's rights. Van Kampen continues to call for justice for the Yazidis, emphasizing the role of lawyers in addressing human rights violations. [Extracted from the article]
