Abstract
This article focuses on the development and impact of the Institutional Advancement Office at the College of Menominee Nation (CMN), a tribal college founded in 1993 to promote American Indian language, culture, and scholarship. Initially relying on grassroots fundraising by staff members, CMN formalized its advancement efforts in 2008 to ensure sustainable growth through structured donor stewardship and relationship-building rooted in Menominee values of responsibility and reciprocity. Key partnerships with donors such as the Robert J. Peot Foundation and the Johnson Scholarship Foundation have provided significant scholarship support and resources, reflecting long-term commitments to Indigenous education and community well-being. The Institutional Advancement Office serves as a vital link between donors and the college, transforming generosity into enduring opportunities for students and strengthening tribal sovereignty through education.
